Happy July 4th... or 7th!

We had a great 4th of July weekend! It was filled with family and great weather!

On Thursday night we went over to my parents for pizza. My Aunt Denise, Uncle Terry, cousin Emily and their dog Riley were staying there until Saturday evening, so we got to visit them. Riley didn't quite know what to do about Tommy, but he really liked sitting under his highchair. Tommy figured out the dog would come over if he threw food down, so he was dropping every third bite or so. What a smart little boy.

Cuddling with Grandpa

Chilling with Emily on the couch.

We go to my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Bill's every year for the forth. Once again we had an excellent time. There were about 44 people there this year and a lot of them were kids which Tommy really enjoyed. Paige and Bob came up and Tommy really enjoyed seeing his cousin! We have really missed her!

Showing off his new outfit for the forth!

And his bib

Walking, I had the camera too close though. He is walking quite a bit now and making it across large rooms, he gets very excited though so he is still falling a little bit.

Swimming in the lake with Dad.

He really likes his fire truck float

Warming up in the hot tub for a little bit

We decided to try the fireworks, knowing that if he freaked out we could leave and head home. He was eating a snack when they started and jumped into my arms. He was good after that and really enjoyed watching them. About halfway through he snuggled in and fell asleep! Luckily he slept the whole way home and we got him into his crib without waking him up. He really spoiled us this weekend by sleeping in until about 8:45 both days!

Watching the fireworks.

Saturday Mike golfed with Terry, Bill and my Dad. Mom and I had some free time so we ran up to Dale and Shelly's cabin on Pelican and enjoyed their beach. Tommy really liked the water and Shelly brought out some beach toys for him to play with.

Here is what he did with the sand bucket!

Yesterday we went to Arts in the Park in the morning and then cleaned up the house a little bit getting ready for Tommy's first birthday party. I can't believe Tommy is going to be 1 already! We hope everyone had a great weekend like we did!
