We've got a hugger!

We are very lucky to have a little boy who loves to hug and cuddle. There is nothing better than getting a huge hug from him!

Watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Mickey

Apparently Mickey needed a hug. What a cutie!

Wedding weekend

On Friday night my cousin Julie and her boyfriend Chris were in the area so we met them for dinner. It was nice to finally meet Chris and catch up with Julie.

Reading some books

Tommy has decided he is ready for big boy chairs and loves to climb this chair now. He stands holding the back of the chair and rocks.

On Saturday we went to my cousin Jeanne's wedding. It was very fun, we all had a good time dancing and visiting with the family.

Tommy really enjoyed his mac & cheese dinner. He rubbed it all over his face and head. What a disaster to clean up! Thanks for the help Nan!

Dancing with Grandpa

Tommy really loved the band!

Mike really loved the beer!

Right across the street we noticed they had an area with different games, kind of like a carnival type deal. We found out they had a mechanical bull and we were pretty excited. Thea and I were thrilled when Brent borrowed us his shorts so we could slip them on under our dresses. I was surprised at how hard it really is to stay on. It was very fun and I would definitely try it again sometime!

In all we had a great weekend. Tommy was perfect at the wedding and stayed up partying with us until 11:30. What a trooper! We are very lucky to have such a great kid!

Getting into everything

Tommy is very curious and likes to explore all the time. He also likes to climb everything. It keeps us on our toes! Here are some of his recent adventures.
This is what he likes to do on his chair, it usually ends with Mike putting his chair away for 10 minutes. Tommy plays with other toys and then the chair comes back out and this is what happens...

That's right, he climbs right back up.
He also recently found the cupboard with the pots and pans. It has become a favorite game to empty them all out and bang them around.

He found the box of cheerios last night. He was so excited it was really cute!

We had removed the bag by this time, but there were still a few in the bottom of the box that he was after!

Happy Anniversary & a little update

Happy First Anniversary Kel and Sean! Sorry I am a few days late!

Tommy is getting very good at walking around. He looks a little bit like Mike when he has had too much to drink, stumbling a little bit. He also knows what he wants and when he doesn't get it we get this face...

Usually what he wants is something he shouldn't have too! Oh well, all kids go through this! On another note one of the daycare kids got kicked out this week for biting. Tommy suffered two bites on his arm on Monday and he bit another kid last week and again today, so he is out. At least Tommy didn't learn to bite from him. Other than that we have been enjoying the hot weather and playing a ton!

Busy, busy, busy

I will say it again, I have no idea what Mike and I used to do with all our free time. Tommy is getting very busy, he loves to explore and get into everything. He is taking more and more steps, but usually drops down to the crawl so he can get to most places faster!

Tommy loves climbing in and out of his chair.

But most of all he loves relaxing and watching tv with a snack and his milk.

On Saturday night my parents came over for dinner. Just before they arrived we had Tommy in his pool when it started to downpour. I forgot to mention my parents came over for Mike's "dutch oven chicken" which is cooked on the fire. It rained off and on all night, so Mike and Dad did most of the cooking in the rain. Everything turned out delicious! Tommy also showed off his improving walking skills to Grandma and Grandpa!

On Sunday my Dad took all of us out on the boat. We decided to go up the Mississippi since it was so windy out. I know the lakes would have been pretty rough. We went over to their house for breakfast first and we found a little chair they bought when Paige was little.

Tommy loved the bug chair!

I am sure we will get some use out of this one!

Tommy's first boat ride!

Grandpa even let him drive!

He really didn't want any help and wouldn't let go of the steering wheel!

In all it was a great weekend. I can't believe July 4th is in two weeks! That is crazy!!!

Finally a really nice day outside!!!

I had yesterday off and since the weather was so nice Ifilled Tommy's little pool up and let it warm up a little during his afternoon nap. Tommy loved it! Not only did he get to play in the water and splash, he got to watch cars go by our house, one of his favorite activities!

It was still a little chilly so we put a t-shirt on him
My Mom came over for dinner and we decided to get Tommy ready for the fourth of July.

He doesn't like the hat too much, but loves the maraccas (sp?)

Singing along!
