Dad's waterfall project

Today we went over to my parent's house so Mike could help my Dad with his waterfall a little bit. He has done such a good job and the majority of it has been done by him alone! You would think he was a landscaper!

The waterfall, it is actually a double waterfall and he built in quite a few flower beds too, I will have to get more photos when it is finished!

A nice summer evening

Today I had to work, but I got home to beer brats! Yummy!!! My parent came over and brought cole slaw, beans and chocolate cake. It was delicious!

I had the day off today and I decided to search for something to hold all of Tommy's cars. His collection has grown quite large and we have to bring all of them with us everywhere we go! Luckily I found a "Cars" backpack and everything fits! It also fits him quite well and he loves wearing it around now. What a cutie!!!

Canada

We went to Canada to my Uncle Bill and Aunt Cindy's cabin on an island in the Lake of the Woods this weekend. It was very nice and relaxing! We really had a great time and Tommy loved all the boats and airplanes that were going by! The only disaster was when we first got there Mike was holding Tommy on the dock and I was getting some stuff out of the boat and Tommy must have thought I was leaving and threw a fit. During the fit he threw Mater, his truck that he always has, and it seemed to bounce a few times in slow motion before entering the water and sinking to the bottom of the lake! It was getting darker and there wasn't really anything we could do about it at the time. Luckily Mike was able to fish it out the next morning with a net! What a great Dad!!!

I have no idea what Mike was worried about, but Tommy liked exploring the boat!

A fun weekend!

Last weekend we were pretty busy and had a lot of fun! Amy and Paige came up on Saturday and we spent a lot of time playing with them! Tommy and Paige play really hard together, tackling and rough housing. They both seem to like it though! On Sunday we went back over to my parents to see them again before they left. It was really fun to see them! Then on Sunday night we went to dinner at Bill & Cindy's to get everything situated for this weekend since we are going to Canada to stay at their cabin with them. It should be a great time and we are really looking forward to it! Here are some photos from last weekend.

Not much new to report, just found a cute photo of Tommy wearing Mike's hat I thought I would share! We are definitely sick of the mosquitos that have been around since all the rain last week! Tommy is really sad that he can't play outside too much. Thank goodness for the Cars movie!

Trains, trains, trains...

Sorry we have been a little MIA on the blog lately. I think after the craziness of the wedding and Tommy's birthday we took a little time to just play and we didn't get many photos during that time! I can't even remember too much what we have done the past two weeks!

Tonight we took him to the county fair to see all the animals. He loved them and made all the animal sounds as we saw them all! It was so cute and of course the camera was dead so I didn't get any photos. The best part was the kiddie barn where they had a lot of baby animals and the kids could pet them! Tommy loved that!!! Hopefully we will get some more photos and post them here soon!
