August, already???

I can't understand how this year can by going by so fast! It is already August, the summer is almost over and I really don't feel like it even started very long ago.

Last night Mike had to work late so Tommy and I met my parents for dinner and then swung by the Crow Wing County Fair. It was the same old scary people crawling out of the woodwork for the fair week. We ran through the industrial buildings and then headed for the animals. Tommy really liked the chickens and goats, they were the ones moving and making noises. The pigs didn't do much for him. He thought the horses and cows were pretty cool too. We didn't see the petting zoo, so we obviously didn't make it through there. Mike and I might take him back this weekend so he can pet some of the animals.

Today Tommy wanted to help me post, so I took some photos of his efforts!

A lovely weekend

Thursday we got to go out for a nice dinner with my parents in celebration. We went to a restaurant up north and saw my cousin who works there. The food was delicious and it was fun to see Jackie as well!

Friday I had the day off, but woke up to a feverish baby. He seemed in a great mood so I am thinking it is his teeth. I gave him some ibuprofren and he felt much better. I have noticed at least one molar is through now! We went to meet a new daycare provider in the morning since Alissa is having a baby in two weeks and we will need a sub for her maternity leave. It went well and I am sure Tommy will be fine there. We were going to run some errands, but since he wasn't feeling the best we decided to go home and hang out there. That night we went to my parents house for dinner because Tommy was feeling much better!

Saturday Tommy woke up fever free! I had to work, so after I got home we decided to enjoy the weather and let Tommy play with his water table. He loves it so much! It was nice to relax on the deck and play with him.

He loves playing with his water table!!!

Making car noises

Tommy showing off his car noises and his walking skills!

Squirting some water into his mouth

He tried to do it afterwards

He is a very happy boy when he gets to play in water!!!

Today we took advantage of some babysitters who have been dying to take care of Tommy and went to The Dark Knight. Thanks Natalie and Allison! We really enjoyed the movie and I am very glad we got to see it in the theater. We came back home and had pizza with my parents, the twins and Tommy.

He always seems to find a Miller Lite, I think he has the thirst!!!

Thanks for the adorable outfit Cindy and Bill!!!

Sleepless nights

I have no idea why, but Tommy has been waking up a lot during the night for the past three days. Once again it is a guessing game, is he getting teeth, does he have allergies or a cold? We have no idea, but we really could use a good nights sleep!!! Oh well, his little smile makes it all worth it! Other than that we haven't been doing too much. Playing Wii Fit at night, last night Atty came over for dinner and dropped off a present for Tommy. It was nice to visit with her and Tommy loves his truck he got from them. Here are a couple of photos from this morning!

Horse racing and a shower

We had a great weekend, although I am a little bit tired today. Friday after work we headed down to Canterbury to watch some horse races. It was very fun and we even managed to win a few bets. Tommy really enjoyed people watching, the horses and the "Beatles" band. He dances when he hears music and it is so cute!

Sara, Tommy and Denise watching the horses.

The boys trying to pick out their bets and Denise playing with Tommy.

I decided to let him try some Miller Lite. I think he likes it!

Our little jockey!

Tommy meeting Max.

We stayed overnight at Sara and Scott's house and Tommy really liked Max. Max liked Tommy too, they chased each other around for a bit!

Saturday we had Kelly's bridal shower. It turned out to be a lovely day. A lot of family was there so we got to catch up with everyone. The guys went golfing, so after the shower I took Tommy swimming in Aunt Jeanne's pool. He loves swimming and water so much. We headed home that evening and were grateful to collapse into our bed. My allergies are really acting up right now. Yuck! Yesterday I finally got my Wii Fit. Yay!!! Mike and I spent Tommy's nap times trying all the different activites. Last night after Tommy went to bed we got serious and really good at some of the games. Mike is really good at all the balance games! I am jealous! Looks like I will have to practice more!!!
