A whole lot of dancing

With all the good tv shows basically over again we are grateful that So You Think You Can Dance is back on. Tommy loves watching it and bobs up and down to the music. It is really cute! I can't wait for the actual competition to begin though. We have also been playing more wii after Tommy goes to bed. Last night I fit in a little workout on DDR. After watching the dance show I obviously thought I needed to dance a little too!

Here are a couple of photos from last night.

The last two are of my bleeding heart plant. It looks so pretty right now and it has gotten so big I decided to share it with everyone!

I love the flowers on it!

What a great weekend!

We had a really nice weekend. After work on Saturday we headed to a birthday party for my boss. We got to play games and Tommy got a lot of attention from everyone which he loved! The weather was perfect! Then on Sunday Mike went golfing and Tommy and I headed out for a day with the ladies. After a few stops around Nisswa we headed to lunch. After that we went to Cindy's so Tommy could take his nap. We sat on their screen porch and enjoyed a nice chat! The boys, my Grandma and cousins Katie and Becca all joined us later to make homemade pizza in their brick oven! Cindy even made dessert pizzas, an apple, a banana and strawberry and a strawberry and blueberry. It was so good!!! Yesterday the three of us ran around to look for some perennials since we widened one flower bed and need to add some rock and plant to the backyard. We found some new interesting things and will probably still look for some more. It was so cold yesterday though, yuck! A good day to look around, we did get some things planted too. I don't have the photos from this weekend ready to post yet, but I will get them posted ASAP!

Looking forward to a nice weekend!

We are excited to finally have some nice weather! I can't wait to get some flowers and veggies planted, there better not be any more frost! It seems way to late for all of this cold weather we have had.

Tommy is being spoiled today, a whole day with Grandma and Grandpa! Our daycare lady needed the day off so my parents offered to watch him. I am sure they will have a ton of fun with him. He was so excited to be there this morning when I dropped him off. Tonight we will have dinner there when we go to pick him up. I have to work tomorrow, but we have a birthday party to go to after I get off. Sunday Mike is golfing with Dad and Bill. Tommy and I are hanging out with Mom, Cindy, Allison and Natalie. After we get to make pizza in Bill and Cindy's brick oven! Yay!!! We have Monday open right now, I am sure we will try to get some stuff done around the house and yard. We hope everyone has a great long weekend!

Welcome back to Minnesota Mo and Zac! We cannot wait to see you!!!!

Tommy's new toys!

We got Tommy some things for his birthday a little early. We wanted to see if he would like them so we had too! :) We got him a tent and a tunnel that can attach to the tent or stand alone. He really seems to like both of them!

I was trying to get a good photo but he is so fast!

A weekend with family

We had a fun weekend with my family. On Friday night, my cousin Sara and her husband Scott came to stay with us. We had a bonfire and roasted hotdogs and hot links over the fire. My parents, my Aunt Denise and Uncle Terry and cousin Emily joined us later for smores and some good campfire stories and sharing of memories. It was such a fun night and the weather was perfect for a fire!

On Saturday Mike went golfing with my Dad and Scott. The ladies and Tommy headed to my cousin Jeanne's bridal shower. It was fun to see everyone! Tommy had fun with all the toys my Aunt Cathy has for her grandsons.

On Sunday we relaxed and caught up on some sleep. It was a great weekend.

Yesterday I had the day off, so Tommy and I got to spend the day together. It was great to play with him! We did go and meet my Mom for lunch too. Tommy is following in his cousin's footsteps, he likes fries and chicken fingers!

Getting ready for summer

We are getting ready to spend some time outside, we just need the weather to cooperate a little. We bought Tommy a chair to have outside and he really seems to like it. He sat in it this morning for a little while and just kicked his legs. We are looking forward to a bonfire tonight with my cousin Sara and her husband Scott. My parents, her parents Denise and Terry and sister Emily are all planning to come over for smores too! It should be a fun weekend!

We can't believe it!

Our baby is already 10 months old! That is crazy, the time has flown by. He is such a good boy! He is doing all sorts of tricks now. He crawls super fast, walks around tables and anything else he can climb up on. He stands on his own for a little while, then he realizes he is standing and grabs whatever is closest. He loves climbing, mostly things he shouldn't be climbing on. He loves playing peek-a-boo and patty cake. He waves hello and goodbye, last night he was waving to every car that passed our house. He claps for himself all the time. He babbles constantly. He has four teeth on the bottom and two coming in on the top. He belly laughs all the time, even by himself in his crib in the morning! We think his animals on the wall must be pretty funny! Mike and I are very blessed to have him in our lives. Here are some photos I took this morning, he was playing peek-a-boo behind the makeshift tent Mike made out of his walker and a blanket. He loves crawling through things.

All smiles!

Here is a dark video I took of him talking this morning. We really need to figure out lighting, it is hard though since we take the videos on our digital camera.

A Great Weekend

On Friday night we headed down to the cities with my parents to spend the night with Amy, Paige and Brian. We stayed at a hotel with a nice little water park in it. Tommy had his first real experience with a pool and he really liked it. He loves water, so we weren't surprised.

He really wanted to go in them, but he is too little

Hanging out by the pool
The next day we started out with breakfast at the hotel and then took Tommy to the pool again. It was a little chilly and he was shivering, so we tried out the hot tub and since it was so early it was only bath water warm so we took him in there for awhile. He really loved that!

Ready to go in the pool! Waiting for Mom and Dad with Grandpa.

Getting tired, cuddling into Dad

Next up was lunch at Claddagh with my parents, Amy, Paige, Brian and my Aunt Denise and Uncle Terry. We had a great time and got lots of visiting in. Tommy was very tired when we were done though and he fell asleep the whole way home. It is much easier to travel with him sleeping!

Tuckered out!

I had a great first Mother's Day! We went to breakfast with my parents and then Mike, Tommy and I went to the landscape centers to look at flowers, shrubs and an apple tree. We bought an apple tree, a hydrangea and some annuals. After Tommy's nap we headed over to my parent's house for a steak dinner. It was delicious! The perfect Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day!

We want to wish a Happy Mothers Day to all of the great Mothers in our lives! We hope you all had a great day!

Happy Little Boy

My happy little boy is back! He is fully recovered and back to his old self. He is giggling all the time and very happy! He loves to put his head down and look out of the corner of his eye at us while we say "ahh". It is so cute! Here are some photos we tried to take of him doing it last night.

Happy Boy!

Giggling at "Peek-A-Boo" with Mom

We have really been enjoying the weather, getting a lot of stuff done outside. Tommy really loves to go for walks, so we have been doing that when we can!

Feeling Better

Tommy is finally getting back to normal. He has been sleeping very well, but he was whining and clingy all weekend. He had a loss of appetite with the roseola, but he was eating better by Sunday, so that was good too. He still has some of the rash in spots, but it has been getting better.

We got a lot done outside this weekend, actually yesterday. We worked on some downed trees and burned some brush in our fire pit before the wind picked up. Tommy slept a long time for both naps and that allowed us to get quite a bit done! Mike hung his swing and after he woke up we put him in it and he loves it! Can't blame him, I have always loved to swing.

Here are some photos I took last night. You can see that his skin is still pretty pink due to the rash! This is something we do when we have things to get done and need to keep him occupied for a while. We put all six of his nuks around him and he picks each one up and puts it in his mouth. It really confuses him and he just keeps picking them up and trying them over and over. Mean? Maybe, but it really keeps him busy and out of trouble!

Oh the dilemma

He must like his white ones the best!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Grandma Sandy! We hope you have a great day!

First sick day

Yesterday was the first day Tommy was sick and I had to miss work. I actually had Wednesday off and he wasn't feeling good that day either, but yesterday I could tell he was sick. He had a fever and broke out in a rash on his belly. By midday it was all over his body. After some phone calls and internet searches we figured out it is roseola. A couple other kids from daycare had/have it now too. So today he is feeling much better and he did go to daycare. I even got a few giggles!
