I was so mad at the snow on Saturday I decided to buy some bright flowers to cheer us all up. Tommy really likes them!

He didn't get to enjoy them too long though! We like the petals on the flowers!

Congratulations!

To Dave and Shelly who added a beautiful little girl to their family on Friday.

First of all, Happy Birthday Rory!!! We hope you had a great birthday!

We had a good weekend, although it started by dumping another 4-6 inches of snow on us. It was so windy I have no idea how much snow we really got. I am REALLY ready for summer, I just want to skip right over spring if this is the way it is going to go. We went to my parents house on Friday night for pizza and Mike helped my Dad texture their bedroom and the stairway. It really looked nice. I had to work on Saturday, so I headed into the blizzard like conditions. Saturday night we played, sang songs and chased Tommy. He loves being chased, his favorite new game is crawling a little ways down our hallway then stopping and turning just enough to see us out of the corner of his eye, as soon as we start after him he takes off giggling the whole way! He is so fast! Speeking of fast, he is now doing laps around the coffee table and is basically running down the long sides! He will be playing with something and not realize that he isn't holding onto the table for a few seconds before he panics and quickly grabs the table, even though he isn't falling over or anything. He is sleeping better and seems to be feeling a lot better, so I am glad we got the meds. He is constantly "talking" and it just makes us laugh. He is so funny!

Hopefully this week will warm up so we can go for another walk and enjoy the swings again!

An evening with friends & 9 month Dr. appt

On Tuesday Atty, Rory and Kyndel came over for dinner. It was really fun to see them and to see how big Kyndel is getting! We also got a little wii time in!

Tommy welcoming Kyndel

Mike and Kyndel

Tommy really likes her and he really wanted to hug her and play with her, but she isn't quite big enough yet! Soon!

Yesterday I took Tommy to his 9 month checkup. He is now 30 inches long and weighs 22 pounds. Big boy! He is very good developmentally and health wise. However, he has been up a little bit the past few nights. I called the clinic on Monday and the nurses told me not to bring him in, they wouldn't do anything without a fever, which he didn't have. So I asked the Dr. to check his ears and he has a double ear infection. I can't believe the nurses told me not to bring him in. Grrr. Nice. He is already feeling much better after some medicine. The one thing that made me feel better was that the Dr. said his one ear isn't very bad and they usually don't treat ear infections.

Last night we took Tommy on a walk down to the dam. It was so nice out and he really enjoys watching the cars go by. The only time he cried was when a crotchrocket went by, they are so loud! When we got to the dam we put him in a swing and he loved that! On the way home the three horses that live down the way were out and he really liked them too!

Tommy loves swinging!

I am really glad we went yesterday since they are talking rain or snow for the next couple of days. When is spring going to come and STAY???

Random photos

Tommy has never really noticed rain before, but last night he was very interested in it. He loves water so anytime we have the faucet going he wants to touch the water and everything, but I think the rain had him a little confused.

Mike took him out in the rain for a minute, he didn't know what to think about it.

He did like watching it fall though! He spent quite a bit of time pounding on the window, looking at the rain falling.

This pig vibrates and plays music and everytime it does he bites it's nose.
Trying to get the pig.

His new sidekick! He has been carrying this bat around everywhere for the past few days. He pushes it when he crawls and I think it gives him a little speed since he doesn't have to lift that hand anymore! Unfortunately Mike and I have been getting (unintentional) beatings by him now!

Little cutie in his overalls.

A Great Weekend

We had a nice weekend, other than the fact the Tommy isn't feeling too well and has kept us up at night for the past few days. It is very unlike him so he must either have teeth issues or maybe sinus or ear problems. I am currently waiting for a call from the pediatric nurse at the clinic. Poor baby!

On Friday night we went to Applebees with my parents. Good food and the atmosphere keeps Tommy entertained which is a definite plus!

Saturday Mike's Mom, Aunt Carleen and cousin Paul came down for a visit. We played with Tommy, tried some wine and played on the wii. It was a great visit that ended with dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, yummy!

Finally some nice weather!

It has been pretty nice out this week, almost all of the snow we got is gone! Yay!!! I pulled out my capris and have been wearing them with sandals all week. I just can't bear to put on a pair of socks anymore. We will probably be spending the weekend working on our yard a little bit. Raking, picking up sticks and other brush and getting my garden ready for the veggies! I can't wait for fresh veggies out of the garden, yum!

Tommy is very busy! He is walking all around all the furniture now and speed crawling anywhere he can get to. He loves being outside so it is nice the weather is starting to cooperate. He giggles all the time and is super tickleish. He loves it when we sing songs, play little games like "so big" and pattycake and dance around. He is such a playbaby and so easy to have around. Mike and I are definitely blessed!

Crawling over me to get the camera.

Getting tickled!

He loves to crawl down the hallway, but always stops to play the air exchange vent like a guitar.

Can I please have a bath tonight!

He has been feeling his new teeth with his tongue constantly!

We hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tommy's New Shoes

Tommy had to get some new shoes since the weather is getting nice and he goes outside for wagon rides at daycare. It is probably a good idea to get him used to shoes anyways. I remember when Paige was little and she wouldn't wear shoes even though she was walking and it was getting cold. At least he should be used to them by the time he actually needs to wear them! He got a really cool pair of nikes. He crys a little when he has them on and he has to work harder to crawl and stand up, but he is able to figure it out. Trying to get his shoes off

My boys!

I forgot...

to mention that Tommy is getting to be a very big boy. He had tator tot hotdish last night for dinner and he loved it! My Mom made it and we went over there for dinner. He really won't eat baby food at all anymore. He loves pasta, hotdishes, mac & cheese and even had some sloppy joe the other day! He also loves all fruits diced up. Anything he can feed himself! What a big boy!!!

9 Months Old!

That is right, Tommy is 9 months old today! Can you believe it? It had definitely been the fastest 9 months of my life. We love having him around and couldn't imagine our lives any differently. Tommy really loves to splash in the tub.

Mike was sopping wet!

9 months old!

Enjoying mandarin oranges, can you spot his two teeth?

He refused to smile for me tonight.

Walking around the table.

Whining for his nuk.

He has been really needy all weekend. I can see a couple of teeth that are ready to break through and I am guessing there may be more on top, he won't let us check very well. We got to cuddle with him quite a bit though, which was very nice and not all that common any more since he is always on the move!

Snowed in

After receiving about 13 inches of wet heavy snow I am currently snowed in. I didn't want to risk driving in with Tommy in the car. We'll see if I can make it in a little later, but from what I hear the roads are really nasty. We went to dinner with my parents last night and then to Cold Stone to get my birthday ice cream. Yummy! Other than that not too much else is going on here. We hope everyone has a great weekend!

Photos to share

Tommy has gotten very fast and it took all of our energy last night to keep up with him. His favorite new game is to crawl down the hallway as fast as he can with either Mike or me running down and jumping over or around him. He giggles and giggles. It is really funny, but it tires you out fairly quickly! Here are some photos from last night.

He looked so tall and skinny in his jammies

Trying to get the camera

Escaping from Dad, I was really mad that the camera flash wasn't ready earlier, it was a super cute photo

Climbing through the walker

Tommy the Monkey Man

He walks like this on all hard surfaces that hurt his knees. It is pretty funny to watch!

Dinner by Jeanne

Last night my Aunt Jeanne was up to take care of my Grandma who had knee replacement surgery at the end of March and she invited us over for dinner. My Mom was there as well. She made a fabulous beer cheese soup and a penne pasta with sausage and vodka sauce. It was delicious, even Tommy liked the pasta and ate quite a bit of it! We had a nice visit and Tommy had a lot of fun with all of the attention he was getting. The only thing he was upset about was being unable to catch Grandma's puppy Kody.

Cute photo, too bad Tommy wouldn't look at the camera, too busy looking for the puppy.

Aunt Jeanne let Tommy have some ice water and he loved it!

He grabbed the handle so she couldn't take it away! He had a lot of fun with it, but made a big mess!
